Buhari Appoints Prof. Mahmud Yakubu As New INEC Chairman

The Council of State has approved the appointment of Prof. Mahmud Yakubu, as the substantive Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC).
President Muhammadu Buharihad appointed Mrs Amina Bala Zakari as the Acting Chairman of INECfollowing the conclusion of the term of Office of Prof. Attahiru Jega.
Mrs. Zakari ws presently a National Electoral Commissioner at INEC.
