Biafra Supporters In India Threatens To Close Down Nigerian Embassy Over Nnamdi Kanu’s Detention
Some supporters of the Biaframovement in India, have threatened to demolish the Nigeriaembassy in Indiaover the detention of one of its major activists, Nnamdi Kanu, the Director of Radio Biafra. The said activists according to reports wore vests with the Biafrasign on them and protested at the Nigerian High Commission building in New Delhi as they demanded for the release of Nnamdi Kanu. The protesting activists shared a five-minute video on facebook stating if their demands are not met they will destroy the embassy.
The protesters sang a solidarity song, “ Biafrasave my bullet when I die,” insited not even the Indian police will stop them if Nnamdi Kanuis not released.
A protester had this to say: ““Today we are all over the world and we are making it very clear. We know your families all over the world. If Nnamdi Kanuis not released within 24 hours, we will bring down this building. Kanu has not done anything wrong, he is a prisoner of conscience kidnapped bythe operatives of the Department of State Services. But we are warning that if they fail to release him, we will break down this embassy. Go and call all the
police in India, they cannot stop us. We don’t joke about our leader. We are not afraid of jail.”
“We don’t mince word. There should not be a clause to his release. After all, this embassy was built
with our money. No matter the number of Indian police they put here, we will bring this building down. We are ready to die. We are dead already so we are not afraid of death.” said another protester.
An anonymous man at the embassy however assured them their demands will be passed on to President Buhari.
